Well well well. After a week of the flu, a birthday and starting a new position at work, I'm back! (Did a Slim Shady song pop in your head too?) I would like to note one thing, before we get started. With my new schedule it will be difficult for me to post on here too often, so instead of a twice weekly blog, I've had to scale back to once a week. Don't worry, I'll still give you my thoughts on Raw and Smackdown and I'll even throw in any Pro Wrestling titbits that I can offer...so...on...with...the...shoe...
Note: I'm going to be messing with the format this time...you've been warned.
Raw
First off, Rest in Peace, Paul Bearer. One of the greats passed away. The WWE did a great job of paying their respects with some very neat video packs on Monday Night. For me personally, Paul Bearer was a staple of my childhood, when was managing the Undertaker. Creepy as all Hell (in the best way possible), but an awesome manager and all round Wrestling Guy. An actual mortician and one of the most familiar faces in Pro Wrestling history. He will be missed. Though, maybe not by my sister, who at almost 27 is still creeped the hell out by him.

Raw Look-Back 25/02/13
Welcome! once again to the Smarx Brothers' Raw Look-Back! Too many !!! already? Two bad! If you're not down with that, then I got two words for you; Shut It! Oh, close enough. On with the shoe.
Note: For this article, and any other I choose in the future, I am forgoing the Good/Bad/F*#%! scale. Monday's Raw feature a match that, if Dave Metzler doesn't give it Five Stars, then I sure as hell will. Because, you know, I'm some guy on the internet? Whatever, I hope you enjoy!
Raw
C.M. Punk vs John Cena. I think that if these two men had a purpose behind this match, other then simply tearing down the house (mission accomplished!), then it must ave been to prove that this match should have been the Main Even at Wrestlemania this year. I mean, Holy S**t! First off, these two combatants were given close to 30 minutes to tell a great story in the ring. This is always important, when you want to have a truly memorable match. I get squash matches. I get only giving most Television Main Events 10-15 minutes. And I am fine with that. But, to truly make something awesome, you need that time.

Smackdown Look-Back 22/2/13
Welcome, to this, the first Smackdown Look-Back, ever! Like the Raw Look-Back, I will be giving you my thoughts on the Smackdown just past. Hope you enjoy!
Note: I know this is Sunday, and that to make any real sense, I should have had this up Saturday. Well, I don't often make too much sense, so expect to see this between Sat and Sun. Sorry for the inconvenience, but blame my day job. But enough of that, on with the Look-Back!
Second Note: In the Raw Look-Back, I wrote about how upset I was that the Miz won the U.S. Title. Whoops! Yeah, I know, kind of a big mistake. I think my hate for the Miz created a Title bout in my head, because for some reason I thought the match for the Belt. Sorry folks, I will endeavour to not let my hate for the Miz cloud my column. We'll just save that post for Wrestlemania, where I bet the Miz takes the belt.

The Raw Look-Back - 19/02/13
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to this, the first Raw Look-Back of our glorious new blog! For those of you familiar with the Monday Night Wrestling Wave - 6:30 pm, every Monday Night before Raw - you'll know me as the "Marshall", because, you know, my name is Marshall. Hey, we can't hit everyone out of the park! For those who don't know us - and stumbled upon this blog while googling just who the hell Groucho Marx was, than get listening and read up! Okay, read up, than get listening. 6:30 pm, every Monday Night. Have I said that before?
Warning - This will not be a match by match by match/segment by segment breakdown. If you like those, than go to www.wewantinsanity.com, and checkout either Corey Leston's Raw Real Time Report, or Aaron Wood's Smackdown Report. This will simply be my own musings and observations of the Raw (and PPV) just past. There. On with the shoe. Err. Show.

434 Days...Not Long Enough
So, this Sunday, like many, I'll be watching the Elimination Chamber PPV. And while the card is stacked pretty well, there is one match that I'm particularly looking forward to. Rock vs. Punk II. Hell, I'm salivating at the prospect. Get that image out of your head, if you can. And why, you might ask, if you've stumbled across this post by accident? Well, I'll tell you, it's not because of the Rock's return.
All last year, we the fans, were subjected to a feud between Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson, and the face of the WWE, John Cena. For one year, they called each other names, cracked jokes and were even able, on a few occasions to relay the actual importance of their feud. Old vs. New. Attitude vs. PG, and all that other jazz. Which was fine, we understood it, we could even dig it...sometimes. But there was something else building, a phenomenon growing in the shadows of these two larger then life personalities. It had begun at Survivor Series of 2011. A PPV main evented by the two men destined to meet in combat at Wrestlemania 28, tagging against a pair of jabronies.
C.M. Punk happened. Overshadowed by the tag-team match to come, the man who called himself the Voice of the Voiceless, won the WWE Championship. And I, and those of similar taste, rejoiced! And as the Rock and Cena continued on their path to the - and I use the term loosely - 'Once in a Lifetime' match, Mr. Punk was beginning down the path of Legend.
